Ben Affleck dressed for comfort as he stepped out in Santa Monica on Wednesday.

The actor, 49, donned a checked flannel shirt and a pair of black jeans as he strolled around the seaside town with a cellphone pressed to his ear.

Affleck walked around in a pair of black shoes and wore a light blue surgical mask in his left hand.

The Armageddon actor was then joined by his son Samuel, 10, who was dressed in a blue polo shirt and khaki pants.

The father-son duo wore face masks near the public.

Affleck shares Samuel and his two other children, Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 13, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.

The couple met in 2000 on the set of the movie Pearl Harbor but made their first appearance as a couple during the 2004 World Series.

They married the following year and remained together until 2015, when Garner filed for divorce. The divorce was finalized in 2018.

Garner later called Affleck the “love of his life” in an interview with Vanity Fair and said, “He’s the brightest person in any room, the most charismatic, the most giving. He’s just a complicated guy.

Affleck’s appearance in Santa Monica comes just days before his polarizing film Deep Water will be released on Hulu.

Deep Water stars Affleck alongside another of his exes, Ana de Armas, and centers on a couple who fall in love and start playing games that result in the deaths of those around them.

Some critics praised Affleck and de Armas for their performances, but criticized the plot of the erotic thriller itself.

The film currently has a 44% review score on popular review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes.
